About the Series
These six women are deeply personal to the artist—reflections drawn from her own life journey. Created between 2015 and 2018, the series culminates in The Awakened Damsel, marking the completion of an inner transformation.
Celebrating Women is a tribute to the quiet strength and resilience witnessed in countless women. The early works portray women with their eyes closed—symbolic of unspoken emotions and suppressed identities. As the series unfolds, each woman evolves—growing in awareness, embracing her beauty, and beginning to question the expectations placed upon her.
